Outdoor Installation – Poles
Some people prefer to hang their banners in different places, such as on a pole or between two poles. Depending on which of these locations you choose, there are different things you need to do. It has to be said that, sometimes, hanging your banner sign on a pole can be a little bit difficult. This is because you have to make use of pole pockets, which can make for a sturdier banner, but it can also be somewhat difficult to install. You will have to specify, when ordering, that this is the kind of banner you want. Moreover, you also have to make sure to make it known how big the sign's image area is, as well as where you would prefer to have the pole pockets included. It can sometimes be easier to hang a banner between two poles.
A lot of people choose to install their outdoor banners on poles. This is an excellent idea. It can be very aesthetically pleasing. It is certain to draw attention. It is especially ideal for those signs which you want to keep up for an extended period of time. Think of all the times you have driven down the street and seen an attractive, one sided sign hanging high up on a pole. The possibilities and opportunities here are fantastic.
There are a number of different ways you can use a pole to hang up your vinyl banner. Since we have already talked a bit about one sided signs, let us start there. When you want this type of sign, you are going to need to specify it from the get go. That way you can make sure you receive the sign with the appropriate design.
These types of signs will require pole pockets so that they can be hung up properly. You will also have to specify about whether or not you want the pockets to go on the side where the image is located. Pole pockets will make it much, much easier to get your banner exactly where you want it.
If you want a two sided sign, you can get pole pockets on either side. This is, of course, used to put a sign up between two poles. However that is not your only option here. You can also string up your sign between two poles, as long as you do so carefully.
What you want to do in this case is use zip ties, twist ties, or bungee cords. The key here is making sure that they are sturdy enough to keep the banner from sliding right on down the pole. On the plus side, when done right, this placement can be a real eye catcher. On the down side, if the poles are not properly braced or if you do not install the sign correctly, it can be a little unsightly.
So, it really has to be said that when you want to hang up your banner on a pole, you really are going to want to make sure that you have pole pockets.
