- Put together a vintage pop-up stand
- Appeal to healthy lifestyle habits
- Get out into nature
There’s nothing wrong with a classic. Billboards, television, and web ads are great options for promoting your clients.
The only problem is that your competition thinks that too. It’s time for some new promotion ideas!
Thinking Outside the Promotion Box
So what do you do? How do you go a different way but still be effective? It’s easy. You break out these new promotion ideas to capitalize on what’s trending.
1. Go Vintage
It’s time to do the unexpected. Try setting up a free lemonade stand where customers also walk away with stuff promoting your client or event! It can go anywhere. Try a trade show, farmers market, literally anywhere that potential customers gather.
And it doesn’t have to be lemonade. Popsicles, coffee, and ice cream are also welcome treats at any event.
But here’s the important part: it has to be pure vintage.
Pick a decade no later than the ‘80s. Your lemonade stand, along with all of your signs for it, will be designed to fit that time period. It’s a great way to make use of the retro trend while giving your customers a tasty treat!
So why a vintage lemonade stand? Because it’s a story. The people who simply come to the stand for some unexpected free lemonade are just the first wave. The real benefit comes from all the word of mouth that will follow.
A random ‘60s popsicle stand? That’s a story that demands to be told.
2. Go Healthy
It seems there’s hardly a weekend that goes by without an organized run or walk. If you have the capital to sponsor a marathon, you’ll obtain prime ad space in front of thousands of people.
But what about smaller runs? Being a sponsor for a 5K is usually more affordable, and there are more of them to choose from. However, many runs limit their sponsorship opportunities to one team of runners.
The good news for you is that many of these 5K organizers have never thought about trying to sell one of the best ad spaces at the event…
Give up? It’s the pace car.
These slow-moving, soon-to-be billboards are the perfect place for some Magnetic Signs advertising your client. And since it’s likely they weren’t thinking about selling a pace car sponsorship, you can basically name your own price. What’s not to love?
3. Go Green
Does your client cater to outdoor enthusiasts? Or maybe they’re just the earth-conscious business owners who have specially reserved parking signs for carpools or electric cars?
Then it might be a great idea to print up a bunch of signs for them and leave them out in the woods. And by that, of course, I mean sponsor a hiking trail.
It’s a fantastic way to reach fitness buffs, nature lovers, and anyone else who enjoys a pleasant walk. You might even be able to increase the number of signs you have out there. Anywhere the trail splits or has an informational plaque is usually fair game for the sponsor’s logo as well.
And don’t forget to add decals to the trash and recycle bins!
Be Bold. Be Different.
A jump onto the latest trends doesn’t have to be a phony move. Listen to your clients. If you can use creative ideas like these to align their personal interests with their business promotion, you’ll soon be giving them results that no one else can match.
