A MESSAGE FROM THE BANNER BARON
I have sort of a love/hate relationship with valet parking. When the weather is bad, I’m happy to cough up a few bucks to pay for parking and I generously tip the poor soul who’s rescuing me from the elements. But on a clear evening, I’m perfectly content to park my own car and I even get a special thrill when I find an available space close to my destination. But there’s a risk with “available” parking. Sometimes “available” is not “available” to you, but to patrons of another establishment. In which case, you might get towed. Which costs a lot more than tipping the valet and can really…annoy you off. If you’re running the show at a store or restaurant or nightclub with reserved parking, may I ask you to post proper signage? I promise to look carefully for it. Just make sure it’s visible, readable, and understandable. Unsure where to get such signs? eSigns.com has a deep selection of easily customizable templates to make sure your parking signs properly get the warning out. Be kind to your customers. Nobody looks cool chasing a tow truck down the street. And nothing ruins a night on the town like a cab ride to the tow lot.
