A MESSAGE FROM THE BANNER BARON
Somebody once said “A picture is worth a thousand words”. And that somebody might have been Frederick Barnard<, in the December 1921 edition of Printer’s Ink, referring to the effectiveness of a print ad that made good use of a graphic image. He claimed it was an interpretation of a Japanese philosopher’s words, but six years later, that same publication said it was Chinese in origin, from the phrase “A picture is worth ten thousand words.” I wasn’t around back then so I really can’t weigh in on that. But, I do remember when Rod Stewart said, “Every picture tells a story, don’t it?”, in 1971 and that seems to be a more appropriate introduction for today’s BIG NEWS!
I’ve just completed a deal with Fotolia to make their library of over 28,000 photos available to eSigns.com customers FOR FREE! Now you can add extra zing to your signs and banners with beautiful full color photographs FOR FREE through our design tool. And since we don’t make a Vinyl Banner big enough to hold ten thousand words, this should make life easier for all of us.
