A MESSAGE FROM THE BANNER BARON
It’s odd that the 40th Anniversary Saturday Night Live Special is going to be broadcast on a Sunday, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be planted on the couch in front of the flat screen this Sunday, wrapped in my King Tut Snuggie, an arm’s length away from my favorite snacks. Few programs in TV history have had the cultural impact of SNL, and I am a huge, HUGE fan. Not that I haven’t strayed during some of the off years (remember Randy Quaid?), but I’m back on board and ready to relive 40 years of cutting edge humor on February 15th.
When eSigns.com celebrates its 40th anniversary (sometime in 2052), I hope I’ll be looking back on four decades with more John Belushi moments than Jim Belushi distractions. Yes, Jim Belushi was an SNL cast member. Now, I work with my brother, too, but that doesn’t mean he can skate by on the family name. He pulls his weight as our CFO. I’ve also got a couple of nephews on the payroll, one of whom does a spot on imitation of Rob Schneider. Makin’ copies.
