One common problem with vinyl banners is taking care of them. You may not know the best way to take care of vinyl banners and therefore may be a bit of a loss when they finally deteriorate. However, on the other hand, you can also take the time to learn how to care for your banners, which will greatly increase their lifespan.
Keep Your Vinyl Banners Clean
It may not seem like a big deal to leave a bit of mud on your vinyl banners, but you have to understand that mud often contains rocks. Rocks are very likely to scratch your banner. However, you can easily combat this by simply using regular water to wash away any pebbles, rocks, or mud that might be on your vinyl banners. Take your time and use a soft cloth or towel in order to remove any debris. This not only keeps your sign looking nice, but also prevents any unsightly scratches. Do not use soap or anything else on your vinyl banner.
Keeping it For a Longer Time
The next way to take care of your banners is to bring them in from time to time. If you don’t really need your banner, bring it in and put it in a warm, dry place. While banners are waterproof, that doesn’t mean that prolonged exposure won’t eventually cause them to mold or anything else of that nature. The best thing to do is keep them in that better space so that they don’t end up molding.
If your vinyl banners do mold, use a very light solution of bleach to clean them and rinse carefully with water. The goal is to preserve the banners as long as you possibly can so that you don’t have to buy new ones on a consistent basis.
