Advice and Savings for Dads and Grads from

Posted in Promos

It’s graduation season. And it’s almost Father’s Day. So it’s possible that some Dads will be offering advice to their “grads” about life, love, money, and other stuff. My sons are years away from Cap and Gown Day, but I’ve already starting making a list of the things I will tell them when the time is right. Maybe you can use them with your 17 year olds. Like, “Beware of all enterprises that require new clothes.” I agree with Thoreau on this one, unless that “enterprise” is a job, in which case I will tell my sons to put on the outfit and show up on time. I’ll also tell them to save half of what they earn. That way, when something really cool comes along that you want to blow it all on (like that silver RX 7 that I bought when I was a teenager), you’ll have the cash to negotiate. I’ll also tell them to take lots and lots of pictures, because photos make it easy to relive the memories and share them with friends. Plus, these days, “no” pic means it didn’t happen.
And how are you going to order a really cool canvas print from eSigns for Father’s Day if you don’t have the photo? And, here’s one last piece of advice. Remember your Dad, cherish the time you have with him, and make sure he knows how you feel about him. Got that, boys?
