Tip: Invest in a Logo
You never get a second chance to make a first impression and if your logo is not up to snuff, you may be sending people the wrong message. We see logos in our shop every day that look “homemade.” We think it’s in your best interest to invest in your brand! A great logo is part of your company’s identity and an important element in brand recognition. If you don’t have big bucks to shell out for a logo created by a big graphic design firm, reach out to an art school, high school, or a college/university in your area. Contact the faculty and see if you can submit a request for custom art (your new company logo).
We’ve seen some teachers use this as a term project and others simply refer it to a top student (or two). Either way, you’re likely to save some money on a logo that will resonate with your customers. Ask for two to four logo “mock-ups”, or concepts, and then pick one (possibly two) to have fully developed. Make sure you’re clear about how much you will pay (including revisions) and who will “own/control” the art after it’s finished. Be fair and treat them like professionals and you might be surprised at the Custom Banners You Can Get for Under $150.00
