A Message from the Banner Baron…
Last week, in a National Guard Armory in LaMarque, Texas, I witnessed a professional wrestling event along with about 200 other men, women, and children. I went at the invitation of a friend. It’s been a while since I saw wrestling as a kid at the Sam Houston Coliseum in Houston, Texas but not much has changed. There are tough guys in flamboyant costumes with colorful names to match, and back stories to accompany every rivalry. My favorite was a newcomer who called himself “Elder Anthony, the Stormin’ Mormon.” The climax of the evening was a “25 Man Rumble” where, in order to be disqualified, you had to be tossed over the top rope and land on the floor! As an adult, I know that much of what I was seeing had been “choreographed”, but it was still fun to watch, and people did actually get hit and hurt. The Stormin’ Mormon was quickly dispatched to the concrete, but he did it with style and vowed his revenge. It was a performance, and I certainly got my money’s worth, but it made me think about my weekly messages to you. A lot of online deals are like professional wrestling. Big, flashy, and entertaining, but slightly exaggerated. That’s why I always make sure that eSigns.com deals are easy to access and understand and offer REAL savings on STUFF YOU NEED. No trickery, no sleight of hand, just honest savings. I promise to keep things entertaining, but I’ll also deliver the genuine products and attractive pricing you’ve come to expect from us. Just so you’ll know, The Stormin’ Mormon is actually a Mormon. I checked.
